SEO Note 2.1.2 is out for Windows 10/11, Linux x64 and Android. It is the first build where an AI agent works inside the program: you ask it in a chat window, it reads your notes through the same read-only tools an external agent uses, and anything it wants to write waits in the diary inbox until you approve or refuse it. SEO Note can now also be an MCP host — a third-party MCP server started over stdio shows up on a management screen and its tools answer from inside the app — and the diary question bank became readable and writable for an agent through two MCP tools. The diary got an AI hint of the day, and its streak counter moved into the status bar. Three interface edges were sanded down: file dialogs reopen in the folder you last chose, Markdown preview takes the editor's place instead of opening a dialog, and one filter now serves both tool windows. On the phone the build finally writes to its own folder — a note you edit there is saved, and importing an
.htmlfile makes a Markdown note out of it instead of refusing. A migration now adds a second table to your file: the semantic index the search uses, schema version 25. The Android APK keeps our release key, so it replaces the version already installed on the phone. The Windows installer is still unsigned, and that has become a decision rather than a gap — see what 2.1.2 still gets wrong. DownloadOctober 15, 2026
SEO Note 2.1 is out — for Windows 10/11, Linux x64 and, for the first time, Android (6.0 and newer, a release-signed APK you install yourself). The build offered then was 2.1.1. On the desktop it adds a demo vault of fifteen notes so a fresh start shows something real (ten notes and five diary days), a bank of diary questions that picks one for the day and keeps the streak, a gallery of nine ready note structures, export of a whole folder to Markdown with live links, the clipper's browser extension inside the installer, and it stops asking any server about new versions — 2.0.0 sent that inherited startup query, 2.1 sends nothing. Packages are about a third smaller. The
.seonotefile is unchanged: a 2.0 file opens in 2.1, and the first start of 2.1.1 only adds the question bank as a new table (schema version 24). On the phone the same interface works over a folder of Markdown notes on the device; passwords and encryption, sync, the clipper and AI refuse there with a reason on screen for now. SEO Note 2.0 is out for Windows 10/11 and Linux (x64): the same tree of notes in one local file, plus a password on the file and on single notes (Argon2id), a web clipper, AI tools that talk to a model you connect — a local one or any OpenAI-compatible server — and import of classic .seo files. The classic build stays downloadable — SEO Note 1.3.34 is still the one for Windows 7/8 and 32-bit systems. Both are freeware. Download
