Privacy Policy (Personal Data)

Effective date: 20 August 2026, revised 20 October 2026 (section 13 added for the Android app). This Policy is prepared in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ «On Personal Data» of the Russian Federation.

The operator of personal data is Andrey Valerievich Dolenko (Доленко Андрей Валериевич), copyright holder of the SEO Note software and owner of the website seonote.su.

Personal data is processed and stored using infrastructure located in the Russian Federation (hosting).

2. Scope

This Policy applies to visitors of seonote.su (including the /Rus/ section) and to persons who contact us by e-mail. The SEO Note program (Windows, Linux, Android) stores user notes locally on the user's device; the Operator does not receive the contents of those files through the website, and has no server where those notes would be kept. Section 13 describes the program in detail.

3. Categories of personal data

We may process:

• e-mail address and the contents of messages you send to us;
• technical data automatically transmitted by your browser: IP address, date/time of access, requested URL, referrer, User-Agent (browser/OS), and similar server log data;
• anonymized website usage statistics collected via Yandex.Metrica (page views, referrers, device/browser type; without Webvisor session recordings).

We do not use advertising networks (including Yandex Advertising Network / Google AdSense), Google Analytics, or marketing cookies on this website.

4. Purposes of processing

• responding to support and other requests;
• ensuring security and operability of the website (including analysis of server logs);
• anonymized analysis of website traffic to improve the site;
• complying with legal requirements of the Russian Federation.

5. Legal grounds (Art. 6 of 152-FZ)

• processing is necessary to perform a contract / pre-contractual request when you write to us for support or feedback;
• processing is necessary for the Operator's legitimate interests in securing and administering the website (server logs and anonymized traffic statistics), provided such interests do not override your rights;
• processing is required to comply with Russian law.

6. Cookies

The website does not set advertising cookies. Yandex.Metrica may use technical/analytical identifiers (cookies or similar storage) to count visits in anonymized form. If you click «Decline» in the cookie notice on this site, Yandex.Metrica is not loaded on subsequent pages. You can also restrict cookies in your browser settings or use tools provided by Yandex to limit Metrica.

7. Sharing and cross-border transfer

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data may be disclosed only where required by Russian law (e.g. to authorized state bodies), to a hosting provider acting on our instructions within the Russian Federation, or to Yandex (Yandex.Metrica) as a service provider for anonymized website statistics within the Russian Federation. We do not intentionally transfer personal data abroad for advertising.

8. Retention

E-mail correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, and thereafter as required for legal protection, unless a longer period is required by law. Server logs are kept for a limited period needed for security and diagnostics (typically up to 12 months), then deleted or anonymized.

9. Your rights (Arts. 14, 15, 21 of 152-FZ)

You may request information about the processing of your personal data, demand clarification, blocking or deletion where legally required, and withdraw consent (if processing was based on consent) by e-mailing bigfozzy@yandex.ru. We will respond within the time limits set by 152-FZ.

10. Security measures

We apply organizational and technical measures available for this website, including HTTPS access. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive data by e-mail.

11. Policy updates

We may update this Policy. The current version is always published on this page. Continued use of the website after changes means you have read the updated Policy.

12. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the law of the Russian Federation. Related terms of use of the website and software are set out in the User Agreement.

13. The SEO Note program and your notes

This section covers the app itself, not the website.

13.1. The program requires no account and no registration. It contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no crash reporting to the Operator. It does not collect personal data of its users.

13.2. On the desktop (Windows, Linux) the notes are kept in a single SQLite file inside the app data folder of your user account (on Windows: %APPDATA%\seonote-electron\notes.seonote); you may move that file anywhere, including removable media. On Android the notes are a folder of plain .md files on the device: by default the app creates it in the phone's shared storage (usually the Documents directory) and, when that is unavailable, in its own service folder; the settings row "Folder location on this device" shows the exact place. The Operator has no copy of these files and cannot read them.

13.3. The app can reach a network only in features you turn on yourself, and then the data goes to the address you named, not to the Operator:

• AI features — by default the program addresses a local model running on your own machine; if you enter another provider's endpoint and key (OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or any OpenAI-compatible service), the text of the request is sent there;
• synchronisation — WebDAV and S3-compatible sync are off by default, the address stays empty until you set it;
• external MCP servers and local tools — they run on your computer and are started only by your decision.

13.4. On Android the program declares a single permission: INTERNET. It exists for the optional features above; the app is usable without it.

13.5. Your Android notes do not leave the device, but the Operator does not back them up either. If the folder sits in the phone's shared storage, uninstalling the app may leave it in place; if the app wrote it into its own service folder, the system deletes it together with your notes. The same settings row shows the exact location. Since those notes are plain .md files, copy the folder somewhere outside the app before removing it — into another folder on the device, onto a PC over USB, or into your own cloud storage.

13.6. The program is a general-purpose tool, is not addressed to children, and is distributed free of charge — no payment data is collected by the Operator.
